Hi, I am Willow

Name: Willow
Breed: Collie X
Sex: Female
Size: Medium
Age: approx. 2

"All about the ball, 'bout the ball, no trouble"...

Willow is a sweet girl who wants nothing but to be loved and to explore the world with the one she trusts to lead the way for her safely. She is a nervous girl, but settles nicely within a few days of crawling out of her shell. If you have ball, she is putty in your hands. Willow takes some time to get used to being in your home, but let her lay on the couch with you or in your bed and she adjusts much quicker. She loves to know that she is welcome and that she belongs there. She is very playful, loves to chase the ball and will chase it for far longer than your willing to throw it.

She knows her obedience well and has quite a few tricks up her sleeve! She is extremely smart and would do well in agility or search and rescue! Willow loves a good game of Tug-O-War and once comfortable with you she will even play "just a bit" rough. Willow talks to you when she wants something, and will even groan when you try to move her on the bed and tries to snuggle in close just so you won't have to. She is a very active dog and with plenty of exercise, she is completely happy and her anxiety is almost non-existent. She loves a good run at the dog park first thing in the morning followed by some yummy breakfast when she returns. She is amazing in the house, completely housebroken and great left alone. Willow can show some resource guarding behaviours around food so she will need a family that is willing to continue working with her. She is fantastic with all dogs and cats and has amazing off leash skills. She is so gentle and non-confrontational. When meeting strangers, she is indifferent. She may test your 'friend' skills by bringing her favorite toy to you to see if you will play with her, if you do, she is your best friend! On occasion Willow will test you with a roll of her lips when she is asked to do something, like lay down, but an experience, confidant handler who has no fear of her, will eventually be able to pretty much tie her in a knot with no issues.

Willow loves a good massage, a good cheek scratch and of course the good ol' bum rub. She likes to also chase her tail in a circle when she is happy and excited. She is not a fan of car rides and will literally scream like a banshee for the first few minutes but she does eventually settle. Willow is a fantastic sweetheart that would make an active and experienced family an amazing friend for life!!

We are seeking a forever home for Willow with NO CHILDREN, must have dog experience.
