Snickers is a SUPER affectionate young man! He loves to be involved in everything his foster family is doing and will follow them like a shadow just to be close. He is very interested in people, always preferring to be in the same room as his foster parents and happy to meet strangers of all shapes and sizes. When he wants to cuddle (and really, nothing makes him happier) he'll snuggle right in for a full body hug! He lays on his mat and chews his bone while his family is relaxing, and he'll even entertain himself with a squeaky toy by playfully tossing it around to play a solo game of fetch!
Snickers is great on leash and would benefit from some basic obedience training, however, he is very food motivated! Snickers will sit and come for a treat and is very clever and responsive. He is also indifferent with other dogs but may exhibit guarding behaviours towards them so a home with no other dogs is mandatory.
When left alone, he can sometimes get into the garbage basket or counter surf, otherwise he is great for short periods of time. Since he was found as a stray, he needs to learn basic in-home etiquette when it comes to counter surfing. Snickers has endless love to give and is looking for a family who will give the same to him :)
We are seeking a furever home for Snickers with no other animals, no children under 14, no apartments. A home where he will not be left for long periods of time is a must.
