I am a 1 year old Portuguese Podengo (pure breed). I am house trained, great with other dogs and I love to snuggle with my person! I love the dog park because it has all kinds of new smells and different dogs to play with. I am fine left alone and pretty good on leash.
I do sometimes bark at big trucks and if driving on the highway I make a high pitch whining sound when trucks go by because they scare me. I would LOVE a home with a high energy dog friend (or two!). But most of all - I need a family that can bond with me well and understand that I do not like to be touched by people I don't know. Safety and security is something I really need. Just give me a few days and you can tie me in a knot, rub my belly when I roll on my back and snuggle with me as you fall asleep!
We are seeking a forever home for Jay with EXPERIENCE. A home with another dog is ideal. No cats or small animals, no children. A home with a fenced in yard or a home in close proximity to a designated leash free zone is a must. No apartments.
