URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR JASPER!!!!!!

Hi My name is Jasper ,

Breed: Cattle/shep mix

Sex: Male

Size: medium to large

Age: approx. 2

Jasper is currently sitting at a rural animal control facility PAST HIS EUTH DATE! After searching for his owners, it was clear this dog was once loved but unfortunately ended up in all the wrong hands.

According to his report - his first owner saved him from a very bad situation. She rescued him with a spinal issue that can cause him to limp if he exercises too much. He also has an old injury to his paw that limits his mobility. This lady nursed him back to health and work on his fear, however, she had to give him away when HER health failed and Jasper became protective of her with medical staff.

Although she rehomed him with the best intentions - Jasper ended up in a home with inexperienced owners who no sooner LOST him...upon finding him, it was clear he had been attacked by another animal. After a few weeks - Jasper became more agitated so he was given away to ANOTHER stranger and within 24 hours was picked up by the dog catcher...He had wounds on his back end consistent with being attacked by another animal. It is not known if his first injuries were treated or if he found himself in another sticky situation, we do know that his wounds were too old to be stitched. He was put on antibiotics and cared for by the officer until they could find his owners...who didn't want him back.

Jasper has been sitting at the kennel for some time, HIS TIME IS UP but the officer really wants to give him a shot at a good life so is willing to spare him as long as they have room!

Jasper likes playing with other dogs at the kennel and loves to show off his obedience for treats. He has bonded with the officer and will try to protect him but after initial barking he will "leave it" and go lay down. He is indifferent to the cats on the property but will chase one that is scared. If he is properly introduced dogs he becomes very playful. When meeting new people, if introduced properly he bonds well and likes to please.

We are seeking an experienced foster home for Jasper with no children, no dominant dogs. A home with a fenced in yard is a must
