How to Adopt
1. Select the dog(s) you’d like to adopt
You can see a full list of our adoptable dogs here.
2. Complete the adoption application
3. Meet the dog(s)
You will be contacted about the dog(s) you’re interested in and RDM will set up a meet-and-greet for you to get to know the dog(s) and ask any questions you may have (temperament energy level, personality, etc).
4. Home check
After you have met the dog(s) and both you and RDM feel that you are a good fit for each other, we will set up a home check which ensures that your home and yard are animal friendly. (Home check can be done when we bring the dog to your home.)
After the home check is completed, RDM will bring your new dog(s) to their new home! At this time, you will pay the adoption fee and sign the contract.
How to Foster
Rescue Dogs Match does not have a physical shelter. All of the animals in our care stay in foster homes until adopted by their forever family. When rescues are full, homeless animals have no place else to go but the local kill shelter. County shelters do not have the option to be “no-kill”, and when they get full, pets are euthanized to make room for new ones coming in. Fostering buys the pet time until their forever family comes along.
We are always in DESPERATE need of committed foster family who can give a rescued dog a temporary home and get it started on its way.
Fostering is a good way to experience different breeds and sizes of dogs to find the perfect match for your family. When you foster all the vetting is covered by the rescue. The process of fostering includes an application, reference check and a home visit.
All of the dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on core vaccines.
The rescue supplies food and covers any vetting costs. We may ask the fosters to transport to one of our rescue vets if need be. Also we ask the fosters to do meet and greets with the potential new families.
